Lunching with a Pregnant Girl
Today was a wonderful dining experience that really exemplifies everything in my life right now. My grandfather, Mom, and Larry took me to Outlaw Deli, which continues to be one of my favorite places to eat, despite negative reviews from my co-workers. I ordered my usual, half a turkey sandwich and a bowl of broccoli-cheese soup (it should be noted that this is my second broccoli-cheese soup consumption in less than 24 hours).
While the other members of my family were at the counter ordering, I loaded up the typical bowl of complimentary pickles and banana peppers I usually get for the table to share. But the cranky pregnant girl couldn't wait and before my family had even gotten their drinks I had already finished the pickles and peppers. I then decided that what sounded like the best thing in the entire world was an entire bowl of banana peppers, which I proceeded to scarf down before any one else arrived at the table, despite the tears in my eyes from consuming that many peppers.
If that wasn't enough, when the food arrived I ate at lightening speed (secretly so I would stop burping up pepper taste). My family took their time finished their meals, but as soon as I finished mine I promptly fell asleep. People were talking to me and my eyes shut and the next thing I knew I was almost falling into my empty soup bowl. I have become the picture of class--who wouldn't want to lunch with a pepper chugging girl who belches and then falls asleep?
