Baby Anderson: The Journey

On October 5, 2006, God gave us the biggest blessing we could imagine: our daughter Liliana. So here is a place for our friends and family to keep up with her as she grows.

Four Months and counting...

Four months have come and gone and our baby doll just keeps growing. She had her appointment at the doctor’s last week and is doing very well. She’s in the 50th percentile for weight and 80th percentile for height—meaning that 50 percent of babies weigh more or less than she does, but 80 percent are shorter. It’s funny because all along we had been thinking how short she seemed compared to other babies and it turns out she’s tall. The doctor says we can start her on green veggies, but she needs to master eating oatmeal off a spoon first. She loves bouncing on the bed and being held on my legs while I’m on my back so she can “fly”. She has also started reaching to pet the dogs, although Perdi is the only one who stays still and lets her do it without trying to lick her to death.

So here is a rundown of her world at four months, along with some pictures taken on her four month birthday.

Weight-13 pounds 8 ounces
Length-25 1/4 inches
Hair-Blond with reddish brown highlights
Eyes-Dark blue
Favorite food-mom, rice cereal, and oatmeal (it's still a limited field)
Favorite toys-Leap ABC Frog, Lily 123 Frog, Octopus Drum and Lobster rattle, Fruggy (hot pink frog), Boing Elephant, Bunny Lovie, Baby Einstein Shape set
Favorite movies-Cinderella (she just loves the talking mice), Little Mermaid, Lady and the Tramp, Fox and the Hound, Aristocats
Favorite activities-Snuggling with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Larry, talking to her toys, bouncing on the bed, playing baby airplane, standing, sitting in baby Bumbo chair, listening to Grandpa Larry talk

But I'm a miracle! (She still doesn't like to be put down)

Winter

These are some pictures from the past month of winter here in the Wild West. It cracks me up: two inches of snow and we cancel school.

With Daddy on our snow day (and her first day with snow).
Bundled up for these harsh Midland winters. I think it's supposed to be a bear suit, but she looks more like a puppy or a sheep to me.
Grandpa at his 90th birthday dinner at Red Lobster. His advice to all us young 'uns? Just hang in there.

Christmas

I have finally managed to upload Christmas pictures.

Here is the family at church on Christmas Eve.
